Staircase

On the floor next to the staircase there is the oldest exhibited furniture in this exhibition - a beautifully crafted wedding chest made of four types of wood (spruce, imitation ebony, ashen and walnut). It was made in Kežmarok in the second half of the 17th century. It still contains a Renaissance architectural structure, but in the decoration of the front wall Baroque decorative elements can be found.

The mirror on the wall dates to the Biedermeier period (around 1830-1840).
